The CJL Kid's Business Fair takes place at our annual outdoor Lag Baomer Fair.

What is the CJL Kids' Business Fair?

Children will have the opportunity to be entrepreneurs, giving them the opportunity and experience to run a business while boosting their confidence and teaching them valuable life lessons.

Who can participate?

The event is open for CJL families, Hebrew School students and local Jewish children ages 6 – 14.

When and where will the event be?

Sunday, May 19 from 12pm – 2 pm.

At the Center for Jewish Life; 176 route 79, Marlboro NJ

The event will be outdoors.

How does it work?

Young entrepreneurs can submit an application to run a booth at the CJL Kids Business Fair. They can develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace. Click here to apply.

Will there be prizes?

All children accepted to participate will be automatically entered in the business competition. Booths will be judged by appointed judges on a variety of criteria, including most original business idea, highest business potential, and best presentation/creativity.

Is there a Fee to participate?

There is a $20 non-refundable participation fee which will be collected from all accepted business ideas.

What if someone else has the same business idea?

Not a problem. In general, we will allow market forces to play out.

How will the Fair be set up?

Each booth will be given a 6 ft table and 2 chairs. Table cloths will not be provided.

Booths can begin set up at 11:30 am.

Is there a designated Charity for a business to donate to?

Each business is encouraged to donate 10% of their profits to a charity of their choice.

Are there any sponsorship opportunities available?

There will be an opportunity for local businesses associated with children's activities or services to have a booth and advertise at the event. We will allow only one vendor for each type of business. Click here to be a business sponsor.

How can my child be a host for this event?

There are opportunities for children to get involved and be a HOST at the event. A child that refers a business booth or refers friends to run a booth can become a HOST at the event. All HOSTS will be recognized on our website and at the event.
